Source for e-channel support beams ???

At our last race weekend, I was in need of a part and searched the paddock from racer to racer. In my search I was in a trailer that had adjustable aluminum beams that went from e-channel on one wall across the trailer to the other side. The owner of the trailer was using 4 of these to make a storage platform over the hood of his car. Brilliant. He had purchased the trailer used with this set up and had no idea where to get more.

Does anyone know of a source for these aluminum beams? The ends engage the e-channel and the length is adjustable. This would really maximize my space and clear the floor.

I have had zero success searching online so far.

Thanks in advance.

Try to E-mail Pat Stone on the West Coast. He is in the trailer bus. and I'm pretty sure he will know where you can get these. http://www.sv trailers.com. Pat is a CMCer, #48. Good luck. Gary

So, did you end up finding some?

What was the cost?

I was watching this topic because I too would like to pick some up for my trailer along with the E track!

Thanks...

Both the E track and alumum beams can be found or at least ordered from most semi trailer companys(Fruehauf ,Great Dane ,Utility,Trailmoible) from their parts dept. .Check the yellow pages.

I got my E Tracks from Northern Tools, don't know if you guys have those out on the wrong coast but they have a website as well.

Nope. I just looked up their site and they only go as far west as Texas!

No, I havnt found a source for the aluminum beams, but the e-track I can buy easily. Etrailer.com has e-channel they'll ship to your door. My local truck and trailer supply also has it and e-channel attachments in stock. They have no idea where to get the beams either.

I will see what I can find.

I have set up an account with a Vendor here on the east coast and I am looking into setting up a reseller account with ANCRA directly. Account application info in transit.

Anyone racing with NASA M-A that is interested, I can meet you at the track to hand over parts, shipping is prohibitively expensive.

West coast guys, I can see what distributors are in your area and fwd that info. I am not sure on exact pricing yet but will have info shortly.

Is this what you are looking for?[/url]

Exactly!

Maybe locally though. Not sure what shipping would be on something like that because they don't have a spot for you to check shipping on your order.

Frank: Thanks that is what I have been looking for, for months.

I have just found, however, a decking/shoring expandable beam for a few dollars more that supports 1500-2000# that is also aluminum and weighs about 19#. I am looking into logistics of getting the beams attached to another shipment that is going out to a larger client some time this month such that I wont have to pay shipping. I can then bring a few extra to the track if anyone else wants them for CMP or Summit Point. I may be returning to CMP with the Mustang Club of America the first week of June if I am not driving in the 12 hour. (fwiw).

I will be placing my order in the next week if anyone wants me to bring something to the track for them.

Well, I went through the order process as far as the shipping info, qty 1 shipping cost to PA is $30 for UPS Ground (probably an oversize charge, which they say is billed as 30 lb minimum). You can do it yourself for the qty you'd really like.

I only found Speedway a short time ago but I'm pretty impressed. "America's Oldest Speed Shop". They still sell parts for flatheads! Naturally, they cater to circle track/street rods and so have a lot more for GM/SBC than Fords.

Yes, I noticed they offer some interesting items. Good find and thanks for sharing.

I hadnt tried the check out process to evaluate shipping cost. The 2 sources I have found closer to me had shipping costs that were far more than that and one of them has offered to freight it for free if I pick it up from the destination dock.

Thanks again for the info frank. See you at CMP I hope?
