Have Questions and Need Help

Norton 828

I have a Race prepped Porsche 914-4 that I have been doing track days at Carolina Motorsports Park for the past 4 years.(about 8 or 10) events I have been signed off to participate in their top non racing license group. I'm not sure which HPDE group to sign up for. Also, I don't have a passenger seat and wonder if that is going to cause a problem. I have emailed my questions l to NASA but have yet to hear back (over 2 weeks). My ultimate goal is to work up to a competition license. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

With NASA Mid Atlantic you will be in HPDE3. Our HPDE4 is for Instructors only. If you are so inclined, you may be qualified to Time Trial. Are you coming to our event May 5-6?

My hope is to come to Savanna next month if they have a place for me. Do I need to get proof from Turn One Motorsports of my previous experience? What do I need to do to get placed in HPDE 3? Thanks for the reply.

if you can provide enough proof of track experience, you might be able to jump straight into Time Trials if you wish.

be sure to read up on the rules & regs @ http://www.nasa-tt.com

Let me know if you have any specific questions about Time Trial with Southeast

Who would I need to talk about to run in time trials and what do you think they would need for proof? An email from Turn one Motorsports? Thanks for the help.

send an email to Chris DeSalvo about licensing ( [email protected] ) or myself (brewer (dot) ken (at) gmail (dot) com) We're going to want to see significant passing in corners experience, as TT is open passing (ie no point bys) something from Turn1 should work though... and we may have to sign off on you during the event, its one of those case-by-case things, we want to make sure everyone out there in TT has the situational awareness and proper attitude to keep everyone around them safe.

Also, either of us can help you out with classifying your car
