47car
Give it up for Andy Bowman, second time in a row winner of the Agent 47 Fastest Lap! He posted a 1:31.067 in qualifying on Saturday at Willowsprings. Andy gets 250 bucks since he is running an A47 prepped car. He voluntarily traded the cash reward in lue of credit towards our new double A arm front suspension. Smart move indeed. If anyone wants more info on the Agent 47 fastest Lap Award the details are in the contingency area of the American iron website.
Pat L.
Congrats, Andy. That's knocking on the lap record, no?
Ernesto Roco
Andy got VERY close to Ryan's old record. If the wind died down a bit it would for sure have been broken. I was also hoping the wind would let up for a good lap on the board. Congrats to Andy for the Agent47 award and thanks to Corey for supporting the racers on and off the track, good guys for sure. I am still waiting for the same award for the AIX class Congrats to Pat L for the Sunday win and Andy for the Saturday win. It was fun even with the wind. I will hopefully be seeing you all at Buttonwillow, which I consider as my bread and butter track like Thunderhill. WSIR is not my favorite track but it's close to home so that's good.. Hasta La Vista.. OLD WSIR record: Ryan Flaherty 01:31.027 9/8/2002 WS CW
JKnight
Congrats to Andy for the Agent47 award and thanks to Corey for supporting the racers on and off the track, good guys for sure. Chris and I have to second (and third) that. We had some rubbing in the rear and found that it was the panhard bar mount that was cracking. After asking around we found that the Agent 47 crue had a mig welder. They spent something like 60-90 minutes setting up the welder (electrical gremlins on a newly added power outlet on the rig) and then welding the bracket back up so that Chris could get out there and race on Sunday. I don't know how we can begin to thank them enough for the effort they made to help us out. Once I get my pics processed I'll post a pic of the creative wiring job that got the juice to the welder. V8cobra99
I just posted the draft race report .... Thanks!! to everyone. The car was working well and I think that WS is my best track. I am sure that Patrick and Keith would have easily broken the track record given more laps and better weather...... But watching Roco knock down a smoking 1.25 lap is just like watching a Titan rocket launch.... andy
