Lemming Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Just wondering, who else is running a NA 4-banger in TTB? Quote
GAC Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Haha, if that's the massive 3.0-liter it doesn't really count as being a 4-cyl. Quote
Lemming Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 Haha, if that's the massive 3.0-liter it doesn't really count as being a 4-cyl. Yes, it does have a 3L 968 variocam engine, but hey, it still only has 4 pistons Quote
kbrew8991 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 I imagine a few Honda Challenge cars would fit the class... Quote
slink Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 i have a stock na 2.2L honda in ttb . no where near the power of that 3.0l Quote
StealthTT Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 i have a stock na 2.2L honda in ttb . no where near the power of that 3.0l Oh, you're not competitive at all in that underpowered honda. Are you? Quote
FastSaleen Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 i have a stock na 2.2L honda in ttb . no where near the power of that 3.0l Stock? lol - beats my Saleen all the time! Quote
FastSaleen Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Yeah, I knew that. Honestly, I took second to a stroked Mustang GT (stroked to a 342) by less than a second when I borrowed a 135hp 4cyl Plymouth Laser at BeaveRun. It's very possible to be competitive in TTB using a 4cyl car. Quote
slink Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 hey brian, how did the race go on sunday, i left at noon because of the 10 hour drive home. Quote
FastSaleen Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 My car couldn't race due to the hit I took on Staurday - too much damage to the left rear suspension. As you probably already heard - Eric flipped his Miata. Race B was close and exciting, too. Quote
Lemming Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 i have a stock na 2.2L honda in ttb . no where near the power of that 3.0l It is a fun little car, can't tell you how many times V8 owners have come over and asked me if I stuffed an LS? in the car. I always reply that it just has a Porsche 4 banger in there I hope to be under 2300 lbs with driver next year Quote
slink Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 2300 lbs. wow. i have to weight 2855lbs. i do like the sound of 9,000 rpm with the little 4 cylinder. Quote

I don't weight that now, more in the range of 2650. Next year I'll be running GTS challenge. If I stay in TT then I'd likely be bumped to TTA. Quote

slink Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 o.k. now tell us your weight -horse power ratio 2881 lbs. 205 rwhp= 14.05 w/hp here Quote
kbrew8991 Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 2750 / 117 = 23.50 hp/weight 2750 / 130 = 21.15 tq/weight and I get crap for only driving slow, with that kind of numbers its not my fault that much Quote
slink Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 ken that is just sad i guess i will stop bitching about my numbers Quote
