rd7839 Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I'm ready for an oil cooler and just have a few questions. Will the sandwich plate type(I guess that's what they're called that fit between the oilf filter and the block), and if so, do I remove the factory oil cooler or use the two together? Quote
Tim Comeau Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Ron, Normally, guys will source a 951 console, which replaces the cooler and has fittings for the oil lines. Quote
944-Spec#94 Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 If you go with the sandwich plate then you keep the stock cooler and use both. Quote
Legends21 Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I purchased a 951 oil cooler housing and I would like to see how and where one mounts the remote oil cooler. Could someone post pictures of their remote oil cooler? Thanks. Dale Quote
944-Spec#94 Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I mounted mine to the Pass side fog light hole. I used all stock 951 lines and cooler. I custom fabbed the mount and ducting. Lack of powersteering allows for plenty of space here. I am not sure how much room there is with powersteering, but I believe it can still work. Quote
keith951 Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 I have a stock oil cooler system complete with oil cooler, lines, and housing from an 86 951. Shoot me an email at [email protected] if any one is interested and we can discuss a price. thanks, keith Quote
