I'm ready for an oil cooler and just have a few questions. Will the sandwich plate type(I guess that's what they're called that fit between the oilf filter and the block), and if so, do I remove the factory oil cooler or use the two together?

Ron,

Normally, guys will source a 951 console, which replaces the cooler and has fittings for the oil lines.

If you go with the sandwich plate then you keep the stock cooler and use both.

I purchased a 951 oil cooler housing and I would like to see how and where one mounts the remote oil cooler. Could someone post pictures of their remote oil cooler?

Thanks.

I mounted mine to the Pass side fog light hole.

I used all stock 951 lines and cooler. I custom fabbed the mount and ducting. Lack of powersteering allows for plenty of space here. I am not sure how much room there is with powersteering, but I believe it can still work.

I have a stock oil cooler system complete with oil cooler, lines, and housing from an 86 951. Shoot me an email at [email protected] if any one is interested and we can discuss a price.

thanks,

keith
