Thawley Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 can radius rods (like Full-Race, Z10, LCON) be used on EG/EK chassis which didn't have radius rods originally? I don't know about the others, but the Full-Race set-up includes a new crossmember (on the EF's) and the rules do state that a stock CM must be used... Quote
wm577 Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 By adding radius rods "traction bars" to a car that did not come with radius rods from Honda is changing the suspension geometry by adding additional arms & link points. This is not legal. Quote
ghettoracer Posted June 6, 2007 Author Posted June 6, 2007 hmm, it doesn't quite change the geometry. more like adding stability to the front susp... i'm not sure how much of a different it makes in handling in reality. i'll test it on my street delsol soon. Quote
National Staff Jeremy C. Posted June 6, 2007 National Staff Posted June 6, 2007 Didn't I already state it's illegal? The rules do not say you can change the CM or add extra radius rods, so you can't plain and simple. If the rules don't say you "can" do something, then you can't! Quote
Andrie Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 LOL, talking to Frank is like talking to a brick wall. He has his own understanding on what should be legal as it suit his needs Quote

Hmm because it is the way you type. you didn't say you would like to see it be legal, or wanted to submit a request. Some one from the rules commitie said it is illegal. Because you disagree with them doesn't make it legal. And i highly doubt you are going to see them legal. They don't proved any saftey benifit, and it could certainly start the slippery slope of changing geometry and adding and relocating suspension points. Quote
