off topic - in car camera options

I have seen these low-end Aiptek digital video cameras for about $90 in the store. It doesn't look like they have a focus or zoom or Li battery, just bare bones video capture. I couldn't see if it had a tripod mount hole.

 

Has anyone tried using one of these for in-car footage? Video quality? Battery life?

Discussion is from last fall but still relevant.
