Jan in Omaha Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 I must be missing it... but what are the requirements if any for driver safety gear and clothing again? Long sleeves, long pants, etc... Quote
kbrew8991 Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 same as HPDE for your region/track as I understand it Quote
cosm3os Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Count on wearing long shirt sleeves and long pants. Quote
kbrew8991 Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 depending on the track (and sometimes weather at said track) you can get away with short sleeves in SE and MA YMMV, pack both Quote
max1os Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 My cent and a half.... I personally wear full race gear, fire suit Hans etc...I also have (as of recently) put in a complete NASA minimum weld in cage. I don't keep track of other regions, but I can tell you here in NORCAL, the times of many of the TT'ers rival those of most of the race groups. At Thunder hill our average speed per lap exceeds 90mph. I believe TT as a competition entity needs to take a serious look at revising their safety requirements. JMHO, -M Quote
Spectator Racing Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Hot pants and sequins are ok as long as they're of a fire retardant material... Quote
roadracetransam Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Hot pants and sequins are ok as long as they're of a fire retardant material... How about flamin' in a pink shirt, running shorts, and a fabulous feather boa. Quote

Because I was behind some guy in the Blue #77 SRT4 that had one and I got feathers all over my Radiator which claused my car to overheat. Quote
