H1 Classification question (engine/head combo)

If I were to use a B20Z and put a B16A Head on it, is it still H1 legal? I am slowly but surely prepping my car but I don't see a lot of potential in its stock D15B1 so I am planning the swap. It is a 1990 Civic HB STD. I'd try for H4 but it is not an Si.

Also, I did the rear disc brake conversion. How will this affect me?

you could convert your car to Si specs and take advantage of the chassis swap rule for h4

you could also move up to h1 and use the b20 block with a b16 head. that is perfectly legal in h1

Can I convert my car to 1990 JDM Civic SiRI specs and use the B16A? Mine is still left-drive and the JDM is right-drive, but I wonder if this is allowed . . . I could still make it smog-legal for street use here in Cali, since the B16A is looked upon as a California-registered B16A3 ('94 - '95 USDM Del Sol) as far as the state referee is concerned.

Sean,

where in Cali are you. We have a race this weekend at Infineon. why don't you come and chat with us in person.

I'm from Shaver Lake (about 45 miles East of Fresno). I'd really love to go, but I am going on a hiking/fishing trip with 2 of my sons tomorrow. When is the race? I might be able to make it if it's Sunday. It's a shame because I'm up in San Ramon right now (6/29) for training, but I'm going back home today.

------------------------------------- UPDATE -------------------------------------

I just checked the schedule and it looks like it's 6/30 and 7/1. I may attend the 7/1 and I'll bring the family. There aren't any fees to watch, are there?
