Tim Comeau
Rafi, Hope you had a good time and didn't work too hard on the Ferarri's! Many guys use the Hawk Blue pads, but I've won many times using Mintex perf pads.

n wright
I am running Hawke blacks. Cost a bit more but are a dedicated racing pad. I really like them. Excellent feel and modulation. http://www.944specracing.com

Cory M
you can also get them from Porterfield, NASA members get 20% off Hawks (you have to ask and give your member #). I am running the blues, they work well but destroy my rotors. I replaced my front rotors after 12-15 track days from new. I posted about this a while back and some others weren't having the same problem with blues so maybe it has something to do with my driving style. I bought better replacement rotors but they too appear to be wearing fast. I have run Performance Friction 97 pads on other cars and they were great with a much lower level of wear (also available from Porterfield w/ 10% off to NASA members). dartydave
Sorry, But Chuck is right. We have had various people trying to build the website I want for 16 months. Soon there will be 944 parts and a spec 944 section. Until then call or email. We are 100% behind supporting the spec 944 racer
944-Spec#94
you can also get them from Porterfield, NASA members get 20% off Hawks (you have to ask and give your member #). I use hawk blues and have been using them for 4 years or so. Since 2001 I have gone through 1 set of front rotors. Most of that time has been on Hawk blues. I think the what you are seeing is that runing the blues on the street is hard on rotors. The the way they work cold is different from hot. They are a racing pad and work best when hold and the friction is more adhesve between the pad and pad material deposited on the rotor. When cold the are abrasive and thus can qucikly grind down the rotor. I get 3- 4 sets of front pads for one set rotors. I typically toss the pads when the white heat zone on the pad reaches the backing plate. That usally with about 1/3 of thickness left on them. I also never run my car on the street so nearly all my brake use is hot.
