Sterling Doc
Quite a few of us are doing a group buy Dyno day. Any tips or websites on how to tune a air meter if we find one out of range. We are here to help each other get better so we can take back our track record at Pueblo ! (not really) but you get the idea Thats how we ride. LOW cost equal racing ! I just got mine dyno'd at the MId-Ohio event - mobile Dynojet. Having just completed a fresh, stock rebuild (no shaving the head, etc.) my '88 motor made 135.7 at about 6,000-6,200 & 141 lb/ft. at about the upper 4,000's (the graph is still in the van). I took off my PEP boys cone air filter, and it made, maybe 1/2 HP more (within dyno error) . Very consistant. It seemed like it was running a bit rich (mostly 12:1, sometimes 11:1). This is suprising given I have a straight pipe, and low restriction intake. No, I did not crush the FPR. It only breathes so much with the stock headers & flapper. While it might make a bit more pwer tinkering with the flapper door, a little rich is safer, and I don't want to spend more money on more dyno time. Mid-Ohio report coming soon. Tim Comeau
Chuck, Great thing that you guys are doing the dyno day in front of each other. Trust is important in our class.
Sterling Doc
Chuck, Great thing that you guys are doing the dyno day in front of each other. Trust is important in our class. Agreed. I've been impressed with the RM region that way and hope to run the Midwest the same way. At the crossover event, we all shared susp settings, and even drove each other's cars - builds camradarie. I will post my dyno later for all to see.

cullen winter
When do you think you're going to nail down a date, Chuck ? It'd be cool if it could work out for when I drive up to get my car back from Hank, plus I'd like to get in on some of you guys's off track get shenanigans. Will the dancing bears be at the Dyno day ?
