116svvh
After last weekend at Mid-Ohio, I got to thinking I'd like to try SU. I ran all season in GTS Challenge. Then I see the supersize thing for nationals. Hmmm, I think. That would be alot of track time for not too much money. However, the GTS race ends on Sunday 5 minutes before the start of SU. My question is, what if I get sent to impound, dyno etc following the GTS race. It would be a close call as it is to make grid after coming off the track. Trying to refuel and rehydrate would make it tough enough but if I get sent to the scales, I'd probably miss the first two laps of the SU race. So my question is, is there a solution out there other than waiting to run an SU race next year? Could I get a go to the head of the line pass for the scales and/or go to the dyno after the SU race if necessary, for example?
kbrew8991
being a GTS4 car, you're probably under the pw:weight for ST1 or ST2, take a look at those classes... would help you be more competitive as far as your inital concerns, no idea... best of luck! National Staff Greg G. Posted August 21, 2007 National Staff Share Posted August 21, 2007 Yes, if you are racing in two races that are back to back, you can arrange to have the car impounded after your second race. They may want a NASA Official to stay with the car between the two races, and if there is time, they may want to weigh the car after the first race. But, the short answer is that we will accomodate those running in two races.
116svvh
looks like I fit in ST1 but if I added some weight I could fall in ST2. Hmmmm. Thanks for the replies. Either way, no scheduling conflict.
