Planning on re-doing my exhaust system and looking for some ideas? BTW its a 2000 Civic B16A and the motor is mostly stock.

Thanks for all the help.

depends on your power level. my delsol b16a makes 193 whp with a 60 mm catback. my H1 car makes almost 210 whp. 3" exhaust. it used to have 2.5"... it is super loud but there was no loss of power anywhere.

Devin & I both use two magnaflow mufflers. 2.5" IN & Out. 4.5 or 5" case with 18" length. 2.5" Stainless piping that dumps under the car.

...you said dump...

How loud is that setup?

I have an SMSP header with a 2.5" donut on it. That goes into a 2.5" inlet Coast Fab (same as Burns) muffler with a 3" outlet. The core is 2.5" and 15" or so long. From there, the 3" tubing goes back to the gas tank, around the tank, like the stock exhaust, and dumps down through a 45 degree bend right in front of the rear control arm. It's lightweight, but it's stupid loud. Loud enough that I can't hear what the tires are doing or hear anything else in the car. I can hear SOME of the other cars while I'm on track (cars that are probably as loud as mine).

The volume level is a bit distracting, and a bit tiring. I haven't tried running with ear plugs, as I like to be able to hear what's going on around me. My ears aren't ringing at the end of a session, so it's not really crazy loud. I have a Radio Shack SPL meter, but I haven't taken a max DB reading.

I'm thinking of using a 2.5" Vibrant "Ultraquiet" resonator before my 2.5" to 3" Coast Fab muffler, but I'm not sure this would be enough.
