bnewport
Does well. Looks like a couple of the other cars had issues but 2nd in class is still second. Driver was John Stecher in Rob Wiesneskis car. http://www.mylaps.com/results/newResults.jsp?id=634614
Snymo
2nd is class is great. But looking closer, 13 seconds off the best lap is a lot. Granted that's on a 4 mile track though. Still, a well built 944 Spec car should get spanked by a well built ITS car...all things being equal, which never happens in racing! The guy with the fastest lap must have finished last - must have spun or something. Goes to show that you've got to be consistant to win. Congrats to John! bnewport
Yep Thats Erics old car. It has new suspension now 400lbs and 31mm hollows which transformed the car from 3:02 to 2:52s plus a Skippy Road America lapping day beforehand didn't hurt the lap times either. In a fair world, it would have been 4th place but the 3rd and 4th place cars had offs or other such luck which cost them in the end.

Hopefully they've got some new wheels - thos 15x6's are aweful narrow, and for ITS racing, some Hoosier's or BFG's would be in order. THat car should be able to get well into the mid 2:40's on that set-up.
bnewport
He ran wider rims but still sp1 legal with RA1s. What he noticed was the RA1s took about 3 laps to get sweet and were then around 3 seconds quicker than at the begining. The hoosier shod cars were sweet immediatel but faded after 3 or 4 laps and ended up around 6 seconds a lap slower. So, he lost them during the critical first couple of laps and then chased em down more or less. The RA1s looked great after two 12 lap races and I doubt the same can be said for the hoosies.
