Any chance of adding Laguna Seca to the TT schedule?

I don't see why not. They run HPDE there, just make put in a TT run group.

 

It would have to be a non-championship points event so it doesn't screw over the guys who can't come because they will never make sound.

I think thats the point since 90% of HPDE cars are street driven cars.

Tom, I would say that at least 50% of TT cars are now dedicated track cars, and many won't pass street legal sound levels.

whats the dB limit there?

 

Roebling is 103dB, and we manage to get 95% of our racers though there without much more than an additional muffler and/or a turndown aimed properly

ah, so its variable... interesting

 

Monterey County allocates a limited number of unlimited db days, 105db, 103db, 92db, and 90db days to the track each year. Due to the demand for the limited number of higher db days, private events are commonly issued the 90db days.

 

103 should be doable with most NASA race cars that I've seen in my region and at Nationals, 92 and 90 are pretty harsh....
