MikeV
I have a short block from an '87 924S, has been bored and new 2nd oversize pistons before I owned it. No scoring on cylinders and pistons still look new. Asking $400, $500 for long block OBO. Located in southern NH. Thanks for looking. 944-Spec#94
For reference. 944 spec motors are not allowed to overbore. Bore must be the orginal standard size and tolerance group 0,1,2 Factory size overbores are allowed in 944 cup.

944-Spec#94
That may not be overbored then. The factory bore is 100 mm. However normal tolerancing allowances required them to use 3 tolerance groups. They are labled 0, 1, 2. The numbers are stamped into the block and in to each piston. Most engines are 0 or 1. Some are 2. These area not overbored since they are 100 mm +/- a tiny amount. (I think .01 mm or so) The factory overbores dimensions are 100.5 and 101 mm and thus considerably larger.
