cosm3os
When looking at results and lap times, is it safe to assume that pretty much everybody is using Kumho's, 214's or Hoosiers (or slicks), or are a lot of folks running 2d (PSC) or 3d tier r-comps (RA1)? Thanks,
cstreit911
The majority of cars at Nationals are running Hoosier DOT's. THere is a sprinkling of other tires but based on the mountain of Hoo-hoo's stacked up in Phil's trailer I think that's the tire of choice. buzzracer
My vote goes to Kumhos. I've tried them all and I find the Kumhos more consistent and predictable overall in all temps and track conditions (rain notwithstanding). Speedwise, they're quicker than the Hoos - at least on my car & setup; ex-WC E36 with 2-way JRZs. And you just can't beat the contingency. BTW, the 245/45 size hasn't been an issue for me, although a lot of guys shy away from them because they don't have a matching size to the Hoos at least in the 17s. cosm3os
Thanks guys. Seems to confirm what I thought--get some kooks for Nat's and get some contingency money for next year's campaign in GTS!
