slammed_93_hatch Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 i should be there, not sure if my tranny will be back together. Hey brandon, send me a PM about the friday testing hopefully you will read this Quote
Redstone Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 there's friday testing? i didn't see it on the registration page. Mike, you guys are gonna run H2 alone? Just talked to Neil Vanni on the phone, looks like his brother Mike might debut the old Taz Harvey EK Si coupe at Thunderhill. Neil should also be going. Quote
ekim952522000 Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 ..........Mike, you guys are gonna run H2 alone?.......... Hoping there will be someone else if nobody else wants to run we might run H1. Does you're dad plan on racing the rest of the season in H2 or H1? Quote
Zook Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 If everything comes together, I'll be racing this weekend also. Maybe H1, maybe H2. Just need tech and the license test. Oh yeah and putting the car together might be a good idea too. Should have all the parts tomorrow and get it back together soon! Quote
Redstone Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 not sure. its somthing my dad and I need to talk about. If we agree that H2 looks promising, then yes we will run it. I think it would be a great class if there's at least 5 or 6 cars. Quote
slammed_93_hatch Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Mike might debut the old Taz Harvey EK Si coupe at Thunderhill. Neil should also be going. Your 'twin' will be out there! Vito's car is also an H2 car, but still not 100% legal. Even though it is still over weight... the H2 list is... vito dan dave liam (red EG) Chris Mike Lenna Quote
mikeski38 Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 I'll be there in H1 with the super slow. With a new oil pump... . I hope there will be 5 H1 cars. Quote
AustinG Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Damn, looks like I'll be the only guy still in the HPDE ladder, I was hoping that Dave would have his car together in order to get some more track time with his brother, as well as some more time with Mike and Lenna, but it looks like I'll be running in the HPDE by myself. I was approved to move into Group 4 after Sears Point, but I figured that since I hadn't driven the course in ~3 years and I was moving to R compounds on the new car that I'd stay in Group3 for part of Saturday and move to Group4 on Sunday...should I have just moved into Group4, or was my decision the wiser of the two? I hope that all is well, and it'll be nice to see everyone again...even though I'm still just a lowly HPDE driver. Austin Quote

The Friday beforehand is rented out to Colin Bach for an event called "Track Classic", evidently it's being held for The Candy Store, which is an invitation only event. Track Classic events will focus on significant sports, racing, and formula cars. "Backyard specials" will not be welcome. I'd have to assume the "Backyard specials" would preclude the majority of the Honda/Acura vehicles. Quote
clock Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 I will be there in H4. Jimmy, I thought the Lexan rule passed? Why is Vito's car illegal? Quote
mikeski38 Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 I will be there in H4. Jimmy, I thought the Lexan rule passed? Why is Vito's car illegal? too lazy to log out, this is jimmy currently harrassing and making fun of the guy whos SN this is. The rear hatch is fiberglass. They said that isn't legal, but gutting the stock one is... Stupid esp cause the car can't make weight anyways. Quote

ekim952522000 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 So no one else is planning on racing H2 this weekend correct? If not I'm going to sign me and Lenna up for H1 for this weekend. Also how come there is not a option to register for just saturday or just sunday on the register page? https://www.nasaproracing.com/nasa_event/show/?event_id=667 Quote
BrianZ Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 The price is for the weekend. You might have to call the headquarters and tell them what up and see what they can/will do Quote
ekim952522000 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 will do. Also Brian what do I do as far as getting my car a number, and getting all the stickers I need for the class? Quote
BrianZ Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 car # is any you want.. as long as no other HC car you race with has it. (i would suggest a number that you dont see in group A at all). required stickers are 4 toyo and 4 nasa stickers Quote
