pederb Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 I like it better, easer to read. You need to add a AI logo Quote
robbodleimages Posted March 10, 2008 Author Posted March 10, 2008 I like it better, easer to read. You need to add a AI logo Thanx. That was a major factor in our decision to make some changes after the initial launch. We think this will be a lot more enjoyable. Please send me as many photos and race reports as you can. Quote
nape Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 It looks great in Internet Explorer but doesn't format correctly in Firefox (Mozilla), just to let you know. Quote
robbodleimages Posted March 10, 2008 Author Posted March 10, 2008 The official launch of this site isn't til April and we will probably be tweaking for months. But I think its an important product for our racing group and want everyone to have a chance to see it and know it will be there for them. I am hoping for a lot of input from AI drivers. Quote
Members Patrick W. Posted March 22, 2008 Members Posted March 22, 2008 Rob, You still coming down to Homestead in april. Havn't heard any updates lately. Pat Quote
robbodleimages Posted March 22, 2008 Author Posted March 22, 2008 We have some crash damage from Road Atlanta last weekend that needs to be fixed. We will see. NASA FL race weekends are a good bit more expensive than what I am used to. There is no camping at the track and its a far longer haul. Overall. Its pretty expensive. You know anyone wanted to split a hotel room to cut down on expenses? Rob Quote
Members Patrick W. Posted March 23, 2008 Members Posted March 23, 2008 Not really. Ramada Inn in Florida City is your best bet. Should'nt be too expensive. They have discount rates for us. We'll have 4 AI cars that weekend for sure. Really hoping we can get some Southeast guys down here for an event sometime soon. Let me know if you can make it. Pat Quote
robbodleimages Posted March 25, 2008 Author Posted March 25, 2008 Pat, How can I register for the weekend races with two drivers? My co driver needs points races to qualify for the nationals, so we figured we would split the two days. But I signing up for the two singles days is a good bit more expensive. Quote
Members Patrick W. Posted March 25, 2008 Members Posted March 25, 2008 Barbara Nix can probably answer that better than me. Her contact info is on our site at http://www.drivenasafl.com Hope it works out. Looking forward to some more AI cars coming out. Pat Quote

Can't you just declare your Team and then notify control of which driver is in the car prior to the race? You can swap drivers at any point in time during the weekend from we have seen in our region with one team...same entry fee. Quote

Two drivers sharing a car (and track time) costs more. Richard P. Quote

Adam Ginsberg Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Typically, a second driver, sharing the same car costs $50 extra (at least it does in TX). IIRC, it doesn't have as much to do with track time as it does with insurance. Contact your region for clarification. Quote
Lisa@BMC Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Looks great! As a new builder looking to start in AI in '09, I'll be checking out all your race reports for sure. Thanks! Quote
jslindst Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Looks great! As a new builder looking to start in AI in '09, I'll be checking out all your race reports for sure. Thanks! Lisa, were you at Homestead this past weekend? Unfortunately, we had our usual small AI turnout and are deparately trying to encourage more Mustang & Camaro guys/gals to come race with us. I don't think I've seen you at any NASA or PBOC events in SFL, are you doing HPDE or do you already have a race license? What car are you currently tracking and is this the car you are planning on racing in AI? I've done nearly every AI race with NASA FL since June 2006 and most of the PBOC Races since March 2007 and I'd be happy to help with any advise or answer any questions you may have. Just send me a PM. Rob, real nice work on the website. Great pics & articles. Are you planning on doing Camp Steeda/SVTOA May 23-25? Or, we'd love to have some of the NASA SE guys come down & race with us at Sebring June 21-22. If you are looking for any vids for the site from Sebring, Moroso, or Homestead I have a bunch on youtube. I'd be happy to send the links. Jeff Quote
firesuit frank Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Jeff, I know Lisa and her husband but they never told me they were building an AI car. BMC is really looking to step up. Hey Lisa, are you thinking of running Danni? btw Jeff, check your spelling, "desparately" not "deparately" who do you think you are? Hotmustang95? Quote
