elcap00 Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 If you have a set in your garage--I would like to buy them or trade for a AMB transponder. I have rechargeable and a DP unit let me know [email protected] Quote
Litespeeds Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 http://www.ground-control-store.com/products/description.php/II=140/CA=159 This is the best deal out there. I just bought a set but haven't installed it yet. Quote
schwank Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Just to clarify, those camber plates will mess with your ride height. If you can afford them, jump up to the ones that mount underneath but have a raised hat that comes up into the engine bay. They are a bit more money but won't mess up your ride height up front. Quote
Litespeeds Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 A few of the NorCal guys have this on their cars and their front end looks really low to me so I am sure you can adjust the ride height with these installed. I know the Racer's Edge camber plates are the best but man it is hard to digest spending $500 for them. Quote
Sterling Doc Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 You can readjust the ride height with coilovers. The racers edge one preserve more suspension travel, but this doesn't seem to be much of a limiting factor in practice. There is a thread on cheaper camber plates here that Spec racers have had good results with: http://www.nasaforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=18529&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=cheapo+camber+plates&start=20 Quote

I have been running flat ground control camberplates for many years. You do give up some shock travel, but I don't find the front end riding the bumpstops so in practice I don't think we lose alot. I also run my car about as low as I can and I don't feel limited by the camberplates. Quote
elcap00 Posted April 7, 2008 Author Posted April 7, 2008 I ended up buying racers edge plates and just used them at Fontana. On the bank I could definitely feel the zero deflection. I loved it although, my KLA strut brace didnt fit----I just removed it---you guys think that a strut brace is needed with the camber plates in order to help my times? I need all the help I can get as a little lady named Jackie Corwin is fast as hell and killing me on every track and autocross we both attend. Quote
944-Spec#94 Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 A strut brace is nice. I have run one for years and noticed long ago that it needs to be installed with the car's weight on the suspension. If the car is on jack stands the towers spread apart and holes don't line up any more. So I would say that yes it helps. I can't say how much impact that is on the race track however. Quote
