Chrisvette49 Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 I just heard about this at an autocross last weekend and it seems like a good way to get on track for a little bit without spending too much. My question is how do you register for this? Do you just show up at the track or do you have to pre-register online like you would for a HPDE? Also, I have really dark tint on my back windows, is that a problem? Oh, and do they have this at every HPDE or just select ones? By the way, Pocono and Watkins Glen would be were I would do this. -Chris Quote
Bruce L. Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 I think the details of this vary by region and even by event so you would be best to contact the officials in your NASA region. I predict you will get addicted pretty fast! cheers, bruce Quote
kbrew8991 Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 I want to say that MA region is one of the few that does it... a way to give you an inexpensive taste so you get hooked and keep coming back this whole deal is an addiction Quote
nasaregistrar Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 A Hyperdrive is basically a single classroom, single track session HPDE1. As far as I know, these only happen at Mid-Atlantic events. Summit Point in June would be closest to you. ( the OP) Quote
Chrisvette49 Posted March 18, 2008 Author Posted March 18, 2008 Well, the guy I heard talking about mentioned that they have them at Pocono East, so I don't know; I can't really find anything on their website. How do you register for the one at Summit Point? Quote
nasaregistrar Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 registration is not yet open for this event, but we will post the link in the Mid Atlantic forum when it is open. It will open shortly after our VIR event in 10 days. Quote
