Tim Comeau Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 That's one of the best things about NASA's 944 Spec class. 2 things happened to me in the last few days or so that really rekindled my passion for our great class. The first was seeing and hearing Everett Delano and Chris Allen come off the track after their first green flag start at a NASA race. They were gushing with excitement! I remember that, too...... The other was firing up the car we're currently working on..................after mounting up a completely straight through exhaust! No Cat, no muffler. Yeah, Baby! Crack the throttle open and Brrrrrappp! It'll make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. That sound puts me right into hunter/killer mode. I'm really looking forward to Buttonwillow in April! 944 Spec in SoCal is here to stay. ......and we get to race PORSCHE's! Quote
Sterling Doc Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 They do sound mean uncorked. I'm a little conflicted about muffling mine just for that reason. It's like a little heavy metal music before you go to work out : . Though for the sake of my ears, I probably should! 30 days and counting to Gateway! I'm with you Tim! Quote
944-Spec#94 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Tim, I am very happy to see that things are starting to take off again in So-Cal. Here in Az we also had a similar slump. It was centered around 2005 and our numbers were really down. However things started coming back in 2006 and we have gotten even stronger as I am sure you will. Quote
Tim Comeau Posted April 2, 2008 Author Posted April 2, 2008 Yeah, It's really cool, Joe. The new guys are tearing it up and digging every minute of it. Quote
