patred Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 (edited) Still for sale as of 04/17. 2001 Chevy Camaro Z28, 6-speed, T-tops, red with gray cloth interior, Koni single adjustables, Monsoon sound system with single disc CD player, Hurst shifter. Power windows, locks, mirrors and driver’s seat. 99,XXX miles. I got the car with a blown engine at 91,500 miles and had a long block from a 2001 SS installed with around 35,000 miles. The transmission is also out of the same SS (nothing wrong with original trans, just got the engine and trans as a package and had the lower mileage trans installed, too). Car is stock except for the Konis. Still ran a 13.000 @ 109 mph at Capitol Raceway on Kumho ASX street tires. Misc maintenance stuff I’ve done: Front and rear rotors and pads, battery, PS pump, front hubs, driver’s side O2 sensors, driver’s side cats (replaced under extended recall), tie rod ends, Redline gear oil in differential, Amsoil air filter, skip-shift eliminator, Falken tires at 98,898 miles. When engine was installed: clutch, rear main seal, spark plugs, belts, thermostat and housing. Clean title in hand! I autocrossed it most of last year in F-Stock, and it was really competitive if you don't consider the SCCA's last two F-Stock National Champs are in my area. Also won the class and finished fourth overall at the Atlanta DoubleCross. I can't think of another fourth gen F-Stock Camaro that beat me all year. I considered doing time trials with it, and you could do some really easy "must have" mods (like differential and big front sway bar not to mention all the "free" stuff) and not get dinged too badly in the NASA points system. I haven't driven it on track, though, because that's what my "disposable" Sentra SE-R is for. $8700 OBO, or $7,999 to NASA members. Located in Maryland near BWI airport. E-mail me at patred48 "at" verizon.net or call 410.768.1012 (Note: it comes with the OEM wheels and NOT the fugly Firebird "swirlies" in the first picture at the top of the page.) DWNSHFT Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Dang, perfect for what I need. Except you're 2500 miles from Phoenix. Good luck with your sale! David Quote
heywb Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 The car looks very well kept good luck on the sale, also that first picture of the autocross it looks like that is Mike "Junior" Johnson in the background flying around. Quote
patred Posted April 17, 2008 Author Posted April 17, 2008 I'd sell it for $7,999 to any NASA member. Race NASA, not space NASA. Pat P.S. Yes that is reality TV star Mike "Junior" Johnson in the background. Quote
