onasled Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I always have assumed that the BMW Mini is a legal GTS car. But someone mentioned to me that the rules seem to always state RWHP. Does this mean that FWD cars are not alowed in GTS? Thanks Quote
eMINI Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Good question, Greg. It would be cool to see a MINI in GTS. Quote
onasled Posted April 13, 2008 Author Posted April 13, 2008 Good question, Greg. It would be cool to see a MINI in GTS. Well, I got the one to be there ... But really, I think they are alowed, but would like to know for certain. Was hoping to get an answer here as I just saw that there is a NASA race school happening in two days at Pocono. I'd like to hit that and get my license as I would love to go with NASA GTS. Quote
rscheiring Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I do not believe they are allowed based on this thread: viewtopic.php?f=44&t=20587 Quote
cstreit911 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Actually we agreed last year to allow the Mini. Mark Barr (bmw22 here) can confirm this with you, but RWHP could then simply say FWHP. Quote
gimpstang Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 of course VW would be allowed and they are (mostly) front wheel drive Quote
