PaganiZonda Posted May 17, 2008 Author Posted May 17, 2008 Great cars guys! It seems Corvettes are the main type of car in this category. Are they just cheaper to maintain/build than the other cars or something? Or better race cars? Also, Z06RACER, who races the 993 911 in the backround of that picture? And do you have any clearer pics of it? I'm interested in seeing how that Porsche is setup. Quote
kingkyle Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Here is my SU car. 93 Rx7 with a Chevy LS3 500whp. Will be 2,200lbs for the first race. Quote

ngoldrich Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Here is my SU car - Porsche GT2 Evo Hope to see you guys at the Nationals... Norm Quote
PaganiZonda Posted June 10, 2008 Author Posted June 10, 2008 Wow, that car is stunning. I've talked online to alot of Porsche enthusiasts over the past three or so years, and I have to admit, that's one of the best looking 911's I've seen. Good to see a good old Flat-6 user around here! Quote
kbrew8991 Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Here is my SU car - Porsche GT2 Evo Hope to see you guys at the Nationals... Norm hmm, have you run your adjusted whp:weight? You very well might be an ST1 car...? Quote
ngoldrich Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 (edited) Thanks PaganiZonda, it's a fun car... Ken, LOL - well maybe if I add 500 lbs of weight. It is a twin turbo GT2 3.8 liter IMSA all carbon fiber endurance car. Dont think it would handle or stop too well though with that much weight But good suggestion though... Here is my SU car - Porsche GT2 Evo Hope to see you guys at the Nationals... Norm Edited June 11, 2008 by Guest Quote
ngoldrich Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 viperracer, AWESOME car - I have always loved the viper competition coupe. I raced the Oreca Viper GTSR in ALMS/IMSA & Grand-Am Rolex a bit - it was a great car too. Norm Quote
Z06RACER Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Viperracer................. your car is ST1 not ST2 right???????????????????? Norm......... I agree, that is one bad ass looking Porsche!!!!!!!! I look forward to meeting and racing you both in September. Quote
kingkyle Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 My wing is now 1 inch above roof height.. miscommunication with my fabricator. Trust me... its not for looks. It makes 1,200 lbs of downforce @ 130 @ 7 degrees. It was tested in the mazda wind tunnel. Hey Norm! your car looks great. I'm the guy with the black evo last year you were interested in. Kyle Quote
ngoldrich Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Bob , I look forward to meeting you in Sept too! Kyle, cool car, & I do remember - will you be at the Nationals? Norm Quote
kingkyle Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I wish I could race at nationals but the car just had its 2nd test day and it looks like I dont have enough time for 5 regional races to qualify. Looks like bad timing. I'm going to really sort the car out and focus on next years race season. I'll be at nationals for sure next season. Good luck this year Norm. Quote
ngoldrich Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 2 race weekends and you will qualify - those can be your test session LOL. come on out and play - the more the better Norm Quote

Did you race last year in the Viper at Laguna Seca in the ALMS? Quote

Looks like bad timing. I'm going to really sort the car out and focus on next years race season.. Bullsh*t on next year!!! You have PLENTY of time to qualify for this year. There are lots of races left. I only have 2 NASA races and we tore the whole right side off my car last weekend at the SCCA National race at Road Atlanta. We're rebuilding it right now and are going to make the Double National SCCA race at Roebling on the 4th of July. We'll run about 3 SCCA national races, 5 regional races and 4 more NASA races........and I don't even have a car you can roll right now. Don't wait for next year>>>>we'll see you in September. Quote
ngoldrich Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Paganizonda, In 2000 I drove a WSC/LMP1 car. I ran the Oreca Viper in 2002 both Rolex & IMSA -Daytona 24 & 12 hours of Sebring - not Laguna... Norm Quote
kingkyle Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Wait a min.... I can run 2 races and qualify or 2 race weekends (4 races total)? If its only 2, you can count me in The only other issue is that i'm getting married July 25th so that kinda screws with the race schedule. I'd be more than happy if it was only 2 races to qualify for nationals... some dumbass told me you need to score points in 5 races. Kyle Quote
