PeanutinCA Posted September 1, 2004 Author Posted September 1, 2004 Most likely the Inn of Lancaster. Better make that call soon. Quote
Tim Comeau Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 I'm for sure NOT going to this round, you guys. I'm staying local and building my racing company. You guys know how to do things right. I'll be at the Button Willow event next month, which includes a 3-hour daytime enduro for the NASA West Coast Endurance Series Championship. Quote
uberklasse Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 will be there, but it doesn't look like any of my upgrades/repairs will be done. I need the 5th gear, torsion bar, LSD and after reading the post on Spargo, wondering if I should upgrade my chip? Quote
Tim Comeau Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 Ummmmm, you got on the podium with none of that, right? Go to 400 lb springs and you won't need an LSD at Willow. 5th gear is costing you a second or more. Chip? unknown. Torsion bars kept stock at 23.5 or go to 30mm ? 2 different schools of thought. I believe Eric has experienced both on his chassis? Just drive the *&%$#@ out of what you have and you'll do fine.............. Quote
uberklasse Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Eric seems to like his new set-up. I know the torsion bars will help me more a lot more on Buttonwillow and Willow Streets track...maybe a little on Willow Big track. I hate my car looking like a 4 wheel drive with huge gaps in the wheel wells...lowering will help! The 5th gear and chip should make a huge difference. When running with Dewain on one of the qualifying sessions and dicing it out with Dennis in a race, the chips they have allow them a higher redline and they can stay in 4th gear a lot longer. When I shift into my 5th gear/overdrive my RPM's plummet and I can see other cars walk away. I am trying to drive the heck out of it Timmy. I need a lot more track/seat time and need to be more consistent. Hate to make excuses, but I just want my car to be dialed in like a lot of others are. Quote
Spec-944#70 Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 The Streets this weekend will be the test. My TB and corner bal/align are done and motor is complete! Well almost! It's going to be nice not being pulled everywhere I go!! Now I can concentrate on the driver as I think some of the gapping will now be gone!!! Quote
mfoley Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Do we need to bring our driving suits or will long sleeves do for Streets? Quote
Spec-944#70 Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 You should bring your suits because technically our cars are V class and besides you should always wear the same stuff and use the car in the same manor so you get used to it. Or so I'm told. See ya there!!! Quote
Tim Comeau Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 No excuses needed Jason. You're doing just fine with what you have. Quote
PeanutinCA Posted September 8, 2004 Author Posted September 8, 2004 Just a couple days before the event, is this it? Come on Ladies. Quote
