I'm not sure if there were any new track records; I imagine we'll see "post pave" track records from now on as new times could be difficult to compare to previous times where these corners were attacked differently. I watched the Saturday HC from the tower; VERY entertaining. The white civic (H1?) did the most beautiful slide through T3 that I have ever seen. The best time that Graham ran was a 1:59.600, but that was on the Saturday qualifying, the best race time between the two days was in the 2:00 time frame. The good thing is that it seems to be just as easy on tires as the old track, and a bit faster. The grip isn't there yet, but it did come in some just over the weekend. The times the guys were able to run were pretty good even though the track temps were really hot and the ambient was really frehkn hot. I think almost everyones car ran HOT this weekend. Power was nice, very very very nice this weekend. Nice enough to convince me the H2 is the way to go, the fact that there are going to be between 10 to 15 car in the class next year is also very attractive.
