OK EVERYONE, HERE IS THE SKINNY!!!!

 

I spoke to Jeremy who is in charge of NASA Sponsorship and did the video deal. We can still get in but we have to pay 3k tomorrow plus $200 for 30 videos (some are free some cost $20)!!!! There will be 3 in car cams and they don’t want our personal cam data due to formatting issues. Speedcast recommends that for good televised/DVD coverage that they need to FOCUS on 2 groups. There will be coverage for the other groups, but cars further back in the pack will not get much coverage. The focused groups will receive full coverage. (Just like an ALMS race focuses on P1 and P2, and GT classes get reduced coverage). We do not own the rights to this video. The DVD's will be copyrighted and not burnable (so he says). After the race the video will be on the NASA website (low res) and for sale to the public for $20 (approx.). WE ARE SPONSERING THE RACE NOT HIRING THE COMPANY.

 

Based upon the response so far, (6 ST1s, 4 ST2s, 2 PTAs, 1 SU, and 1 PTB), ST1 and ST2 will be the focused classes (unless the response changes as more people come in). My brother, Dan, and I are willing to put in $600 total from the two of us. Since the videos will be for sale to the public after the weekend, I cannot count on people contributing after we have agreed to sponsor the video. SO, we need to collect the $3200 TONIGHT in order to be able to do this. We need everyone to contribute via paypal to me, [email protected] , as soon as possible. If you are willing to, please contribute as much as possible at this time. If we collect more then the $3200, I will refund money (via paypal) to everyone who contributed more then $100 first, and then if we still have more then $3200 I will refund back to everyone in equal increments.

 

We can designate who gets the in car cameras, so the cameras will go to the top three contributors. As of now, that would be Pfadt, my brother Dan, and me.

 

Summary:

I need everyone to begin paypal’ing the money ASAP. If we do not get the needed money tonight, I will paypal everyone their money back tomorrow evening. Please contribute more then $100 if you are willing.

 

NOTE ON PAYPAL – please do not use credit cards to fund the money as there will be fees taken out of the funds or contribute 3% extra to cover the fees.

(1) That put SU on top of the list with 9 people so SU is one of the 2 focussed groups in the video
