Holster Maker
John, It's not ALL Norcal. How about it was 8 races north and 6 races south. You enjoy coming up here anyway, don't you? Nice cool weather and clear skys, neat tracks, etc.

Nice cool weather and clear skys, neat tracks, etc. It was going to flip 4/3 events every year, but didn't this year. So you would be ok with 8 Socal and 6 Norcal events for the next 2 years becuase its no big deal driving right. Hey this is like Nationals, its no big deal driving until you have to do it And T-hill just bleepin sucks! And its a 7hr tow one way. Holster Maker
That's fine John. Are you meaning two in Willow Springs, two in Buttonwillow or Cal Speedway probably this year. We drop something too, remember for points. Take care
JKnight
I think I say this every year: somewhere along the line I thought I heard that it flips between Norcal and Socal centric each year. I think that was 5 years ago, and I think it's been norcal for the last five years. I have schedules back to '00 or '01 on one of these computers, maybe I'll try to piece it together. Great, cat just puked. Not sure if that means he's agreeing or disagreeing with me..... Jason
Holster Maker
That's funny! Cat is probably thinking, he/she likes you gone more. Good reason to come north, for the cat!
JKnight
That's funny! Cat is probably thinking, he/she likes you gone more. Good reason to come north, for the cat! Closer to the truth than you know (regarding the cats). But now that dog has gone to doggie heaven, it's easier to actually campaign the whole season. And it would be nice if it was SoCal centric so that we could more easily attend all the events. Jason
bpanther
I need to make plans for MMP! On that note..... if we did a MMP warmup on April 4th and 5th who would attend? Oh - wait, never mind. I don't want anybody else besides my AI guys to know how to race there. Schlender for 2009 AI Champ!!!!
lelady
On that note..... if we did a MMP warmup on April 4th and 5th who would attend? YA!! I wanted to find out what your schedule was so that we could work out something up for the West Coast guys to go!! bpanther
This is the only weekend that seems to be available that doesn't directly conflict with a NorCal/SoCal event. It is one week after CalSpeedway. Looks like we've got a good start on CMC cars and Tony G is getting a headcount to see if we can draw from CA. RM will have at least 5 to 6 AI cars. gr42ai
What is the AI West schedule going to be, or is it going to be a north and a south schedule with a few crossover races. Guy

JKnight
Thanks for the schedule. It is heavily weighted towards socal and we appreciate that. Although, it's a bummer there's no Willow Springs on the schedule. I guess I won't get my annual sand blasting / exfoliation event. What is the California Cup? Searching nasaforums.com didn't reveal that term except for in this thread. Jason
Holster Maker
I guess that "So Cal Schedule" is a little heavy to the south...........because it is the "So Cal Schedule". Nor Cal AI West will come soon, like Vicky said. Edited December 16, 2008 by Guest
Holster Maker
I hope we get some more AI cars to make this "split the state" work. Are we now So Cal AI West and Nor Cal AI West .................or do we drop the "West" ?
JKnight
I guess that "So Cal Schedule" is a little heavy to the south...........because it is the "So Cal Schedule".Nor Cal AI West will come soon, like Vicky said. I was responding to Peder's post of the "AI West" schedule, which I assumed was for the AI West as a whole. I guess it isn't. I'd be interested in hearing what the powers that be are envisioning. Holster Maker
Yeah I figrued Jason, but if it was, I would be changing groups! Like something I run up here, ARC. I heard about this a few weeks ago, but really didn't think it would happen with our car counts, south and north barely make a race group. Nice if it works tho, save a lot of fuel. This is a LONG state! I still want to suceed from the south........state wise....LOL You ever heard of The State of Jefferson? They almost did it once, yrs ago up here. JWL
Folks- The idea here was to still have some crossover between North and South, but to allow racers to stay in their home regions if they did not want to travel. So, you can race the CA Cup, race SoCal, race NorCal, or race all three if Santa leaves a pile of tires, diesel, and race gas under the tree. -JWL
