What broadband speeds do I need for rFactor and iRacing?

I am currently trying out wireless broadband (AT&T G3 network with an aircard) and at home I average about 1.2 Mbps and 1.0 Mbps download and upload, respectively. Latency averages about 150 ms. Does anyone know if this will work well enough for rFactor or iRacing?

Wireless, as in cellular? If so, then the answer is no. The latency will be much higher then 150ms on a server, and anything above 250 is a hazard to others racing with you. I have a cell connection with my laptop and see 500+ regularly when connected to a race server. It is not advisable.

That's what I figured. Oh well.

Thanks for the info.

I always love to be behind a car on iRacing with a cloaking device. Once minute they are there, and then BAM, they appear right with you in a turn.

Yeah, I love that too. I have wrecked a few times because of that.

I saved a good one to youtube.com. Watch for the Red/White Stripe Stang come out of nowhere!
