mug23 Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Thanks guys for the kind word. Mug....more pics of the subie !!! I like how the second shot is compositioned. What track? what turn? That's at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah. I forgot what turn was that. Very fast and fun track as you need horsepower for the full track. Quote
trhoads Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 oooo, I like pictures, especially pictures of track cars. here is my car, as it has been showing up to NASA-SE Events since 2005, in some form or another. This is how it looks now. At Barber Motorsports Park At Roebling Road And at CMP, where I will be in two weeks! Quote
Cheap_Thrills Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Very nice RX8. If it wasn't you, I ran with it's twin at Infineon. Explain the black smoke in pic 2. You got that thing mapped super rich? Quote
trhoads Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Thanks. I wish I had been to Infineon, but I live in Georgia, and that, would be a long haul. Infineon looks like it would be a fun track to drive. And legendary too, that always adds a level of fun. The smoke, that is preceded by flames. I run the car on the track with a straight mid-pipe, no cat. So, it runs a little hot, and on overrun and shifts, it tends to shoot flames and then little clouds of smoke. The rotary also burns oil in normal operation, part of the design, so a lot of that smoke is soot and carbon from the burning of the oil, better to let it out than hold it in I always say! Quote
OnRails Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 It looks like this. This is me at CMP last Feb. Quote
trhoads Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 yep, pretty much, Hey John! It was always fun running in the same group, the dueling RX-8's! Don't follow to close, we will melt your bumper off! Quote
The Dough Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Nice pics guys.. Mine money is tied up in the car below. Quote
eclricochet Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Nice pics guys.. Mine money is tied up in the car below. Yea, but what a car you have. You must have one of the best M3 suspension setups out there. You corner like a momentum car and have power down the straights, it is awesome! --Doug Quote

OnRails Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I've considered getting one as a track toy....Dreams... Quote
