ST#97 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I am putting a lexan back glass in the Cobra R. I see no requirement for support straps to be installed? Am I missing something? What do you guys use? You need them more on the outside than the inside. Keeps them from blowing out from the positive pressure inside the cockpit... I have lucked out that venting my cockpit has aleviated the need for anything on the rear other than the bolts every 6" around the perimeter. Your mileage may vary! Quote
Holster Maker Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I thought the same until people from the tower started telling me my rear window looks like it's being sucked in away from my straps..........so now I don't know. After that I drilled several big holes in my lexan, still don't know. I also have vents in my tail section to let air out. Rear isn't required by rules, but like 97 said, better vent. Quote
horsewidower Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I sandwich the lexan between two sets of supports. Each set has aluminum support, one on the inside, one on the outside. Quote
