faisduvtt Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 I'm entering the 24 Hours of LeMons for the April 4-5 event at CarolinaMotorsportsPark on a team that has recently purchased a 1986 Honda Prelude as the entry. We're in search of: 1) Full Rollcage for the car - any good recommendations/sources? Would be awesome if we could locate a used one. Lemons folks recommend the following: I/O Port Racing or AutoPower online. I/O Port also sells good, reasonably priced bars and belts and suits and other racey-type stuff Any other recommendations? 2) Five- or Six-Point Harnesses: Five- or six-point harnesses mandatory, including fifth or fifth/sixth "anti-submarine" belt. All harnesses must be SFI or FIA approved; dated within four years of the race; and properly mounted. Would be awesome if we could locate a used one. 3) Used Suit Prefer 3.2/A5. I'm guessing medium or large? (I'm 5'11" and weigh 160lbs). Fire-Retardant Clothing: Full SFI- or FIA-approved fire-retardant driving suits must be worn by all drivers at all times while inside the car. IF USING A SINGLE-LAYER 3.2/A1 or 3.2/A3 SUIT, DRIVER MUST ALSO WEAR FIRE-RETARDANT LONGJOHNS. Multilayer suits rated 3.2/A5 or higher are highly recommended Thanks, Tom Raleigh, NC Quote
