Buitrex Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has tried tthis tire on a civic. I have read and seen people who fit hte 225 50 or 45 15 in civic. Also what size rim and offset would be needed for either 225 or 235? Thanks Quote
Redstone Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 they will be a tight fit, but you could probably make them work. Our 225/45 fit no problem. The 225/50 and 235/50 are much taller. You might need to run spacers so it doesnt run the trailing arm. Quote
AustinG Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 The 235's are HUGE, good luck fitting them without fully flared fenders. Quote

Also what size rim and offset would be needed for either 225 or 235? Thanks I tried them on my DC. They don't safely fit on the rear. They would rub on the trailing arm and fender. not to mention its very questionable for the rule : 7.12 Wheels and Tiresc) Track width may be changed by use of spacers or wheel offset, but the top one-third (1/3) of the tire may not protrude outside of the fender when viewed from above. Example: If your tire measures twenty-seven (27) inches in diameter, the top nine (9) inches of the tire may NOT protrude outside of the fender when viewed from above. Quote
badass55 Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Camber, Camber, Camber. EDO ran 245/40/16 in H4 last year on his DA Quote
BrianZ Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 the DA has a LOT more room then the newer chassis Quote

Thanks The fender lip was rolled not just used a baseball bat method, it is rolled perfectly flat. I believe I was using a 38 offset wheel and had to use either a 5 or 8mm spacer to prevent the tire from rubbing on the trailing arm under load. With the 8mm spacer it only lightly rubbed on the ta but now rubs on fender and rear bumper. I just noticed last night the front rubbed on the body of the car before the suspension bottomed out. Buitrex Posted March 18, 2009 Author Posted March 18, 2009 235/50/15 on the front and 205/50/15 on the rear.... JDM yO!!!!!! Is that the set up on your hatch? Do you mind sharing the offset on your wheels? You could probably go 225 on the rear, but you might be using 205 because of your specific set up. Thanks Quote
slammed_93_hatch Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 sorry, no that's not what i am running. The 235s are just too expesive, too heavy, and too tall for me to spend ~$225 dollars each to give it a test fit. Quote
