47car Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Ernesto Roco turns his fastest lap ever at Willow Springs after installing Agent 47 SLA and shock package. No other mods were done to the car since last time at WS. Bryan Rogers put together this sweet video. Check it out here. http://www.youtube.com/user/agent47racing Quote

mustcone347 Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 WFC. I guess thats what they call "gorilla advertising" no actual facts just a statement from one individual...........but being the E.R. you have to take it as the gospel. Quote
Ernesto Roco Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 I'm usually the last person to sign up for big sweeping changes like that but I felt this was the right move to make. I really did not set any big expectations first time out as I want to just feel tha car out and determine where we need to go with the setup. First few laps I was just tip toeing around the track and after first session changed a few things and went back out again and went faster than I ever have at Willow. The car is basically the same as when I went 1:22.8 maybe a few pounds lighter but that is it. The only car that went faster than me last weekend there was a Radical, the same car that won the Grassroots UTCC. I can't wait to see just how fast I can push this car.. I consider the test/time trial session a huge success and it is only going to get better from here. I remember clearly where I thought the car could have gone faster on some sections of Willow using my old setup and last weekend I did not feel any of those shortcomings at all. Call it what you want but this is the truth and I would not make something up like that. If you know me at all you would agree with me. Quote
JKnight Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Ernesto, after the post on corner carvers I was curious what your new lap time was. I don't see it here either. Care to share? I know you're still feeling out the new setup, so there's probably more time there, but I'd be interested in the time differential at this early stage. Jason Quote
Dawg Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 i guess the griggs sway bar is still doing you justice? love the front end spoiler set up, i wish someone made something like that for a sn95. (need more front end down force, duh) Quote

There is a lot of time left in it. I am talking in the teens with some fresher tires and a clean lap. You and I know that not too many sedan type cars are in the low twenties but with this new Agent 47 I feel I can get another 2 secs out of it, sweet. I remember when I did that 1:22.8 I was working very very hard to get that lap time. I had no idea I went faster than that when I was driving last weekend at Willow with the Agent 47 suspension..I was shocked. Fact of the matter is I went faster with very minimal tuning with fundamentally the same car, motor, slightly better aero..The Penske shock spec from Agent 47 was working really well too, I liked it a lot.
