Wheel type and Offset for Civic Eg?

I am at the point where I am looking to upgrade wheels and tires for my car. I currently run 205 40 16 falken azenis in 16x6.5in wheels with 45offset.

 

I have been searching what offset I can use for my car, but I have not been able to find a straight answer.

 

I would like to use either 15x7 wheels and use 225 45/50 15 R888 tires or use 17x 8 wheels with 235 40/45 17 R888 tires

 

THe only problem with the 15's is that the only wheel that will clear my caliper is the team dynamics pro race with 35 offset. Will that offset work?
