mcolangelo2005
Hi. One of my helmets has a non-removable inside liner and it smells a bit. What's the most effective and safest way to clean and freshen it?
getfast
One light squirt of Lysol, two to four squirts of Febreze, air it out for a day or two, then add one very light shake of Gold Bond or regular baby powder, and rub the loose powder into the liner. Note: skip the baby powder if you don't wear a balaclava.
99HOSS
I keep the helmet out of the bag and upside down as much as I can (weather permitting) at the track. Then usually a day or two at home the same way. I also keep a dryer sheet in the helmet when it is in the bag.
