1LapSRT Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Glad to have you with us... check with your local chief instructor and TT directors for entry into the TT group. You need a NASA TT License before you can sign-up. As long as you have enough experience in other track events, then a sign-off usually come pretty quickly. If you have not done this sort of driving before, then you will need to go through the HPDE program before you can run in TT. As far as car classing goes, check out the rules thread (stickied) at the top of the page.... Quote
Joshua Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Nicole, Welcome to TT - it's alot of fun. Your '95 325is is a very good track car and has a base class listing of TTF**. Those two asterisks mean that you start in TTF, but with 14pts already assessed to the car. I'm not that familiar with BMWs, but if the LSD was not found on the base model, that is assessed +3 pts. The //M series brake calipers are +2. If you truly have a 210hp engine, it's no longer stock (stock is listed as 189hp), and you'll need to take points for those upgrades. Be sure to check the rules, since there are a number of "free" modifications, but you are assesed points for any other modifications that have been done to your car, or those that were not found on the base model 3 series BMW for that year. This last rule is a bit confusing since many non-base cars come from the factory with helpful features, such as LSDs, front and rear aero, but these are still assessed points. Quote
kbrew8991 Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 download the excel sheet here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=25399 and start checking boxes note that for TTA-F, you need to meet the points and hp/weight restrictions Quote
