Lots of fuzz on the oil drain plug ?

So we did an oil change on a new car in RMR . And when I pulled the drian plug it was covered in fuzzy metal specs. nothing large enough to really feel but more fuzz then I have ever seen. So what's the problem ?

Thanks for the input

From what I've seen, a fine metal paste is normal, but any metal slivers mean you should take a look at the rod bearings. Despite what some say about bearing material not sticking to magnets, the bearings themselves clearly do stick to magnets, and every time I've seen them have enough wear to warrant replacement, there were a few little slivers on the drain plug magnet.

I believe the bearing shells are steel, but their surface material is made up of softer metals.
