DaveWright Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Still up in the air right now. Will know for sure by Wednesday. My replacement is stuck out of town so I may be oncall this weekend and if that is the case I will not be able to make it. Quote
Zook Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 I'll be there as well. Might be a bit rusty so you guys go easy on me Quote
jmeris Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 not me....i'll be in tinseltown for the weekend plus no H2 engine yet Quote
slammed_93_hatch Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 I'll be there, but no car... Everything is coming together quickly though. If it wasn't for a few screw ups in shipping i would be there. Quote
AustinG Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 The car's back together, still need to get some tires mounted and balanced, then make sure that it drives fine. 80% chance that I'll be there. Quote
DaveWright Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 I just registered today. See you all there. Quote
Redstone Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 just putting my tranny back in tonight (changed final drive). We'll be there too. Running the Type R B18C again. We'll be racing at the nice and heavy weight of 2530 lbs. Should be interesting to see how Dave and Chris's car compare since we're all running the jdm B18C. Looks like Liam will drive one day and ill drive the other! -Graham Quote
BrianZ Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 I just got home and unpacked. What a weekend! I had an awesome race with Liam & Dave on Saturday and Graham & Dave on Sunday! I heard Bob and Chris had a good race both days too! Quote

I heard Bob and Chris had a good race both days too! Yes I would agree. This was by far the best racing I've been a part of in a long time. Great driving too all HC. We really put on a show. Bummer Mikes car blew up on Sat and Chris had tranny issues all weekend. And yes the clutch is old but I will say I did abuse it this weekend. It was a little crazy jumping back in the seat after a big break. I can't wait til next month!!!!!!! Thanks to everyone for thier input and help at the track!!!!!! Quote
BrianZ Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Dave are you going to post up your in-car from sat? Quote
slammed_93_hatch Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 http://www.mylaps.com/results/showrun.jsp?id=1106904&perclass=1 FUCK YA GUYS!!!!! Graham, Dave, and Z in the 02:xx Austin steeped it up BIG TIME TOO 06:xx! Maybe raising the car helped!!! Chris "welded diff" Smith stepping it up big with an 07:xx, hahaha get that diff fix so it isn't on throttle push!! And Bob, the work paid off!!! you got down into the low 09:xx!!!! It was a great race both days, really awesome to watch. Quote
AustinG Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 New personal best this weekend. I still need to figure out how to lose 80lbs from the car while adding a splitter. I should have my in-car up sometime today, but I'll warn you...after the 3rd lap it's kinda boring, the B18CX cars checked out and were gone. Quote
Zook Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 It was like road racing a drag car. New experience for me! On the plus side, the thing launched like a champ and I got the best 2 starts I ever had! So forget all the bad things I said about the R888. If I could get it to handle "okay" with a locked diff, then I'm positive it'll work great with a good diff. With rotating the tires before the races and starting with full tread, tires wore halfway to the wearbars after the weekend (not counting the weird wear pattern on that one pair). If anyones wondering. Quote
Redstone Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 i had a blast racing in h2! Just as much fun as Mike & I had last year. - Mike, sorry about your motor. slap that extra h23 you have in there and come back out and play. - Brian, glad to see your car running good. Thanks for the bump draft on sunday, too bad you and the USTCC dude got into it. It would have been an exciting race. - Austin, awsome to see you running in the 2:06's. Thats a great improvement over saturday! Raising the car definetly helped! - Bob, first off, thank you for letting me drive your car. It was a blast. Your car handles great and is setup very nicely. 8-10 more hp and it would be much faster. It suffers big time in the top end. Congrats on breaking into the 2:09's. I knew you could do it! - Dave, glad your clutch held up for sunday. It was fun racing with you. Im surprised i held you off since my car was pushing so bad (you will see in my in-car). - Chris, whats up with the LSD? I thought you had a good Kaaz in there? Hope you get it fixed for the next event. Can't wait for the next event, Jimmy should be back out there, and if Vito can make it we should have a strong field. -Graham Quote

The car will be heavy, but at least it will be reliable again. Now I just got to find the $1000. Bad timing building that german thing. (although it is a lot of fun) I did not expect my honda-san to let me down. Maybe I'll sell rides in the SE30 to pay for my new honda motor...$25 a lap, any takers? Isn't next month the unofficial crossover jimmy planned at willow? I don't think I can buy a new motor and tow an extra 5 hours in one month. Quote
Redstone Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 you should sell your SpecE30 to Ron Harness and use the money to fix the goblin. Then build another specE30 because at the rate those cars get crashed im sure you have a buyer soon! Quote
slammed_93_hatch Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 i have everything to get the motor in and running hope to hit the dyno the second weekend in may! Quote

Especially with the cheater motor in it, and the non functioning splitter.. Quote
