1988 Mazda RX-7

This car was originally prepared for the SCCA Improved Touring S class and NASA ProSedan 1 class. All preparation work was done by myself, except the safety gear which was installed by Blaine Fabrications. The car first saw the race track in 2002, and it's first wheel to wheel race was in July of 2003. The car was track with NASA in the Pro Sedan class until 2005, and has been used as an occasional track vehicle since that time. I lost interest when the series converted to Pro Touring and went to an open, points based rules system, and other than a rear spoiler, have not changed it since 2005.

Car has run as fast as 2.10 at Thunderhill, 1:55 at Sears Point, and 2:19 in configuration 13 at Buttonwillow with myself driving. This car is very fast, and has a lot of my own blood sweat and tears in it. I wouldn't sell it except for some personal situations that have come up and require my living situation to change, and I won't have room for a race car. I'm asking 9,000$, will consider any offer. The car is available for viewing in Milpitas, please contact Paul Cabana at (408) 204-1417 to setup a time. Serious inquiries please.

Base class is PTE @ 2800lbs. How do the PT points break out on this?

Posted

Ah, good catch, I haven't looked at PT rules in half of forever, since, as I stated, the car hasn't been run since PT was implemented.

I'll redo the calculator with the '09 rules and see what the classification is.
