hroadracer Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I gotta say the whole event was beautifuly organized. Very informitve classroom sessions. I really liked the fact we had to come to class to de-brief after every session. Everything ran right on schedule. Instructors' really cared about our safety first and progression on the track. Thank you to all the course workers. Even though I might of upset my instructors a couple of times they were still tolrant and forgiving. A big hats off to them. I think I'm going to be around here for a long time! Quote
Members Shawn M. Posted April 28, 2009 Members Posted April 28, 2009 Glad you had a good time! Its alot of hard work for alot of people and things dont quite always go as planned as STUFF HAPPENS tends to get in the way from time to time but, we do try. I saw some really big improvements from saturday morning first session to the end of sundays last session by all the drivers so, much of the success goes to the students! I know I certainly had a great student sunday in the silver Lotus (#87) who made my job very easy! Good job everyone and I do hope other students had as good of a time too! Quote

Jon62 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I can only echo what has been said about the way this event was run...Many thanks to all involved. Pit Bull Brawl was my first venture out with the NASA folks and I was extremely impressed with the whole weekend...Met some great folks that made me and the wife feel really welcome... The run group was well organized, great etiquette and kudos to all the workers / staff / fellow students for keeping us safe and informed... I was fortunate to have my instructor mount his video camera in my car for session 3 on Saturday, something I can re watch looking for improvements… " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The Traqmate data he provided also proved to be a valuable learning / discussion tool… Many thanks to Mike for passing on his knowledge and showing me what my little Miata can really do when driven properly… Look forward to driving with you all again... richwalsh Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Jon, Enjoyed meeting you last weekend. I was the one in the grey subaru that had brake problems during the session in your video - thanks for not running me over! You were courtious and safe as I was trying to get out of your way! Hope to see you at another event soon. By the way, it's amazing how much you brought down your lap times. Great driving. Quote
Jon62 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Hey was good meeting you and no problem at all...We were all out there to be safe and have fun. Mike and I were not sure what was wrong so we gave you plenty of room. Thought you passed me on the 11 minute mark coming out of 14? Thought I was doing so well to catch you... Brakes eh... Glad you caught that issue early ...Could have been a serious problem... Will see you out there again hopefully...You drive well... Quote
Robnie0723 Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Nice driving Jon -- very smooth! My first thought was that looks like Mike Skeen driving, then I noticed he was instructing Would be hard to pick a better coach/driver/guy to emulate. Quote
jason Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 When I saw Skeen was on the inst list, I was thinking, "Some unsuspecting guy is going to hit the jackpot this weekend. I wonder if I can register for HPDE1." Quote
