mikeski38 Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Did you guys notice we aren't running the whole track? We are running the 3 mile outer config. Not that I am necessarily complaining, but it is weird that a big event like nats would run a smaller config. Quote
Andrie Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 If you run the full config, it will take 5 min. to do warm up, 5 min. to do cool down. With 3:16 range time for H1 and more for H2, that means you only get 3-4 laps per session except the final race. that's assuming there is no yellow. If there is a yellow, you're pretty much done. I have seen them do a warmup lap on a smaller config, but that is begging for a disaster for poeple not used to running un familier tracks. Quote
Redstone Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Change the track layout during a session? hmm.. sounds like something we did during morning warmup last weekend. half the group went over the bypass, the other half went over the crows nest. Quote

It's fun when you're following ~6 of the Porsche guys who all go over the Crow's Nest....and you're like...WTF.... well, I can't take the bypass and have the chance that they're going to hit me, might as well just follow them over the top :-/ Quote
