dollar
Hello All, I'm looking for advise. In between races, what do you do with your race car? a) Put it on jackstands? b) Replace race tires/wheels with some OEM tires/wheels and park normally? Which is the best practice? Thanks in advance! FBody383
Rookie response so take it for what it's worth. So far I've put the car up on jackstands and pulled the wheels. Makes it eaiser to check wheels, brakes, nut and bolt the car, check for leaks, etc. If I had a lift it would be even eaiser. I also try to get by and start it every couple of weeks and let it reach operating temperature. YMMV.
badass55
be careful with the car on jacks. if the car is in the air for to long the chassis will start to bind. ur ok if its for a few days or about two weeks but after that i would put the car on old tires. kbrew8991
mine is parked on grass/dirt so I don't get flat spots (load spreads out a bit more) and don't have to deal with jacking it up and down when it needs to go somewhere
