Want to Rent Spec Car - not for race

I think a spec car may be in my future, but I haven't driven any. I would like to drive a spec miata, 944 or E30 to see how I fit and if I like it. I am 6'2", with most of that legs, so being able to fit properly is my first concern.

I'm looking to rent for an HPDE session in NASA Northeast, and not necessarily for a full day, but I'm flexible.

Also looking for any real world advice in this selection process - so thanks in advance for any input.

Dan, I would love to let you try mine, but I have a bolt in cage and it doesn't fit as well as a custom cage would. Therefore, @ 6'2", it might be a tight fit. I am 6' and it is close for me. I didn't plan on running @ any NE events but I might be able to bring my 944-SPEC car to one for you to try. What DE group are you in?

I've got a Spec Miata, SM 83, that I rent out. If you're local to northern VA, you can see if you fit in it before anything else. I'm 6'0" with plenty of leg room.

Dan there are 25+ 944's registered for the Glen PCA race on May 29-31. You would be welcome to test fit mine and other 944's. I have a 1986 944 with a custom cage and is #211 in Riviera Blue. Hope to see you there

Thanks alot guys. For my background: I'm currently in HPDE-2 and drive a stock Infiiniti G37S. Looking at some mods right now. Prior to getting into NASA last year I drove 2-different MR2s over 15-years and put 300k miles on them. Took the Skip Barber 3-day racing class about 10-years ago with hopes of getting into racing - but then got married, 2-kids, yada-yada-yada. Will PM if I can hook up. Thanks.

FWIW-we ran the lemons with a 944, and an autopower bolt in cage. Our tallest driver was 6'4 and he was ok. I am 6'2 and have plenty of room in my 924S.
