Red Tornado
I was curious who all is going. I know a few of us from SE will be there and Robin but wasn't sure who else. Robin and Fla folks may have a leg up as many of us haven't any seat time and for me it has been 15 years since my last time on that track and only raced there a few times. Should make for some fun racing especially during an hour race.
jslindst
Chris, It looks like we may only have 3 of us from FL to take you guys on. Bruce Byerly, Pat Wehmeyer, and me. Its not looking good for any other cars from FL.
robbodleimages
Assuming we have a car ready to run, we will be there. I will register up as soon as we get the engine broke in and ready to race. Question: Does NASA FL have a photographer that shoots photos for the drivers? If not I can bring the camera and maybe pay from some travel costs. Its a long haul from NC. Its not looking good for any other cars from FL. If Pat can get both cars fixed, then we'll have one to rent Or at least we'll have a spare when one breaks. And I've got a nearly perfect record of breaking a car at every race . . . No doubt I'll be in "my" car instead of Marcos' car. It sucks not to have Marcos coming to race but I'm glad you're going to be there. Times are tough but it sure did feel good to get out of the house last weekend. Racing is good. Don't you do that on the race track? Hope you make it down. Bring your camera, I don't think the photog is scheduled to be there but you can and should check with Steve or Barbara through the NASA FL site which you can find here. Rob, Like Bruce said best to double check with Steve & Barbara, but I don't think we have had a "pro" photographer at Sebring for quite sometime. Bruce, trust me you don't want any part of Brian or Dan in their ST1 Panoz cars. Unless there is a downpour & they're on slicks, you might have a slim chance to get ahead of them, otherwise you will only get a small glimpse of them at the start & you won't see them until they come around to lap you in the enduro. Thanks! Love the praise! Hoping to run 2.13's and lower But AHAAAA...Dan and I now have added our secret weapon to our arsenal....WE LOVE THE RAIN.....even though we did not do well at NASA nationals 2008 (some crazy panoz driver got in my way) we did finally figure out a rain setup and I think we were almost the fastest car on the track in any class.......SOOOOO....BRING ON THE RAIN! See ya all at Sebring!

I know, but we must encourage participation during these hard times, right? I have a slim chance of making it through the weekend, so I'll be glad to see the hot rods in the heat . . . RacingIsLife
Hey guys - this is Dan, the other half of the Panoz ST1 team that's heading to the upcoming Sebring event. There is no Tire Service planned to attend this event. We could use tire service there in case there is rain... which Florida summers are of course known for. Would any of the other AI racers, or any other Racers or DE Drivers, be willing to chip in to cover the cost of a tire service provider? I am looking into what it would cost now, but I wanted to see if anyone was at all interested...
[email protected]
In regards to a pro photographer, we have one every time we go to Sebring, although it is not always for both days. Saturday for sure. I have 2 cars that need new rubber. I was going to run the first session on sat on old rubber and have the tire giuys change everything. So I will be changing close to 20 tires over the weekend even without rain tires. The fee for the tire guy is almost covered by just my 2 cars worth. this way I dont have to run around with tires. Just bring them to the track which I was doing anyway!
