PushinTheLimit Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 When I looked up its classification... it says "SUR". Where does a bone stock LS3 Corvette start at in TT? Quote
mrc24x Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 The SUR means that it will be classed by HP/WT. (TTS, TTU, or TTR) If you run the car at full wt. you may be able to fit in TTS. (8.7 or above + mod factors) The LS3 is what bumped the car higher than the '05-'07 C6. The good news is that you can do basically whatever you want mod wise. Quote
jason Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 You'll be able to mod the suspension and aero all you want. Quote
PushinTheLimit Posted June 11, 2009 Author Posted June 11, 2009 Thanks for the clarification. I haven't decided if I want to get the LS3 or not. I like the idea of starting off in TTA rather than in TTS or above. So that narrows it down to the LS2 or LS6 in the corvette world. Too many options Quote
PushinTheLimit Posted June 11, 2009 Author Posted June 11, 2009 TTA keeps costs down. Relatively. I most certainly agree with that. I love the look of the C6's, but I still just can't move past all the oil issues that the LS2 and LS3 cars are having. The LS6 is just so reliable, its hard to turn away from a good thing. Quote
loudes13 Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 'unlimited' mods in TTS can get pricey. Unlimited as in mods that don't affect P/W. Quote
L98Terror Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 TTA Is a sweet place to be, but TTS is very cool also Quote
sperkins Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 TTA keeps costs down. Relatively. Yeah. Especially when you're snatching up all the free tires. Quote
jason Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 It's saved me from buying CAI, headers, cat-back, heads, cam etc.. All the stuff I'd have done to a street car. Quote
