dans2k Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 hey I registerred for the contingency they sent me a patch to attach to my "race suit" well I don't have a suit, can I put it on a cap or a t-shirt? Quote
AZELISE Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 According to the link in the post about Hoosier contingency: "A Hoosier patch must be sewn on the competitor's uniform." I have one sewn on the shirt I wear when I drive. I plan on picking up a couple more to sew onto a hat and another shirt. The word uniform may be a little ambiguous on purpose. Quote
dans2k Posted June 14, 2009 Author Posted June 14, 2009 ok thanks not sure where I got race suit from what about the big stickers they send are they easy to get off the car afterwards? Quote
AZELISE Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 The stickers come off a waxed car nicely. I wanted to wax the car a few months ago (it had been about a year) so I ordered some new ones and removed the old ones. Next time I will just wax over them. Quote
TurboShortBus Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 If you don't want the stickers to be permanent, then apply them to a magnet sheet so you can apply/remove them at will (unless you have a Corvette or something non-ferrous). For front/rear stickers on plastic bumpers, apply the sticker to a piece of plastic that can be bolted in place of your typical license plates. Mark Quote
dans2k Posted June 14, 2009 Author Posted June 14, 2009 hey thanks great idea with the magnets will do that Quote
TurboShortBus Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 hey thanks great idea with the magnets will do that Check http://www.MagnetKing.com, as they have 12"x24"x0.030" white vinyl magnetic sheets for as cheap as $6 each. One sheet should be able to handle several contingency stickers. Mark Quote
TurboShortBus Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 $6 for a magnet but another $6 to ship Tires are $250 each and you're worried about $12? lol Mark Quote
