test
Do camber kits that add positive camber (to correct negative camber from lowering) also count as 2 assessment points since there is no performance benefit maybe even performance loss? National Staff Greg G. Posted November 24, 2004 National Staff Share Posted November 24, 2004 Do camber kits that add positive camber (to correct negative camber from lowering) also count as 2 assessment points since there is no performance benefit maybe even performance loss? OK, Test, I'll bite. Why would you put them on if it was going to cause a performance loss? (and please don't tell me tire wear, because I run -3.3 degrees up front, and my tires wear evenly on the street and on the track. Toe is the biggest factor in abnormal tire wear). Also, my short answer would be "yes" anyway. The camber plates would give you the ability to dial in whatever camber you desired, that apparently the stock vehicle was not allowing. Therefore, it is beneficial. The rules need to be kept simple. [email protected]
NASA Jim
I think he's saying that maybe his car was lowered and it gave him like 4 degrees of negative camber (just from the lowering) and he got a correction kit that adds 2. Like the boost controller, it is hard to tell if the adjustable camber kit is used to "fix" something or to enhance performance, so I would say yes.
