Redstone Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 This weekend was terrible for us. We had a severe wiring failure in the chassis harness. It ruined our race with Lock and Z. It would have been a great battle between Lock and Liam. Jimmy, Sorry to see your motor go south. That really sucks, really missed you on track. Good luck with the rebuild, let me know if you help, parts or anything. Dave, heard you got some body damage this weekend. Good luck fixing it. Congrats to Mike and Brian Z for winning. Great job to Austin for his 3rd place finish today. High five to Bob G. for driving amazing and doing some great lap times. Loving the 2 wheels off in T10 too! Great to see Vito & Chris Smith back out too. See you all at Thunderhill in Aug. Ill be racing my EK in H1, pops will be in H2 in the red EG. -Graham Quote

AustinG Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 One hell of a race weekend guys. Sunday was one hell of a race, Bob, Chris Smith, Vito and I had a damn good battle for almost the entire race which left me completely exhausted. Thanks for the weekend everyone. Saturday's race finished uploading, and it's here: Sunday is still being uploaded, when it's done it'll be here: I haven't watched the Sunday race yet, I just uploaded it, now I'm going to head off to sleep. BrianZ Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 It was a VERY hot weekend and seemed to take a toll on our cars. Liam - the electrical problem/fire really sucks... I was looking forward to a great battle! Jimmy - I'm really sorry to hear about your motor, let me know if you need any help (too) I think everyone did great with this heat! It was definitely and for everyone to get the lap times they did was awesome! here is my In-car from Sat - (please right click and save as) Does anyone know who the driver of the Legand is that spun in front of me? For some reason the link is not working. It defaults to some website. I had my video up last night but the sound for some reason does not match the video. So I will upload it again when I get back from the body shop. Quote

Sunday was one hell of a race, Bob, Chris Smith, Vito and I had a damn good battle for almost the entire race which left me completely exhausted. Thanks for the weekend everyone. Austin, that was a great recovery on Sunday after you had no room left and went off-road in the esses. It looked like Chris and I would have gotten around you before going into 10, but I guess you had the throttle mashed and managed to stay in front of Chris. Eventhough, we didn't stay with the leader (BrianZ), four of us (Ausitn, Bob, Chris, Vito) finished within 2 seconds of each other, well Bob and Chris were less than a second behind Austin and I was a second behind Bob. That's good racing! Quote
clock Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 H2 racing again was fun. Forgot how fast those cars can be. I miss it. Does this mean I will bring out the LS DA in august? Maybe I should... Quote

That's good racing! We really did have a darn good race, and I figured that going off in T8 would have lost me my position to yourself, and Chris Smith, but I guess that I just managed to carry it through and not lose the position. Vito, here's something that you probably didn't see. I caught up to Bob, who was directly behind that red EG USTCC car, who was right behind Dave Wright. Since Bob and I had to race to get around the red EG, Dave drove away from us. We were stuck behind a USTCC car. If you take a look at the final finishing times, we finished 4, 5, and 6 seconds behind Dave. It's very apparent at the 14:35 mark going into T4, the running order is, Vic Chalk(orange PTA EK), Red EG USTCC Car, a white Legend, Dave Wright, Bob, then me. You can see at the 15:50 mark where Dave went by the USTCC car into T11, then they completely blocked both Bob and myself going into T7 at the 17:00 mark, neither of us were able to get around him, and we both lost time to him. He averaged 2.28 seconds a lap slower then myself, though it looks like he might have gone off a few times. We had a good weekend, other then a few minor issues, with all said and done, the H2 cars did damn well, and we're all speeding up...it's just a matter of time before we're all in the same pack, the rookies aren't rookies anymore. Yea I was almost at a stop for a few seconds in turn 2 after Chris and I got together and then continued a bit looking around in the car for damages. I did manage to get closer to Brian towards the end but traffic was crazy and I chose to not push any more than I had to and followed the train in from the Ss and saved second. Good racing!!!! GOOD SHIT HC!!! Quote
Zook Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Great weekend of racing! Thanks guys, it was fun! Pretty cool too that we were all that close with 5 different engine/chassie combinations! The H2 formula seems to be working. Unfortunetly, my "crew" had a technical problem with the camcorder and I didn't get anything on sunday. But I've got a feeling well have plenty more close racing to film in the near future. Quote

Sounds like the clutch slips a little when you shift, but not every time. Do you ride the clutch pedal with your left foot? Yea it was pretty hard. If the sound was in sync with the video you would get more sense of how it was. As for the clutch, I don't know what it is. It happens when I shift out of corners. We changed the clutch and the rear seal and yet oil is still coming from the tranny. As soon as I shift I let the clutch go and take my foot off of the pedal. Quote
